So sorry I'm late on posting, guys, but what are your thoughts on Chapter 10 (no pun intended)? Anything seem interesting to you? I personally like this chapter because I'm really into psychology.

  1. Ha, cute. I'm glad we are taking two days to go over this chapter. LOTS to read but very interesting.

  2. I'm with you on the psychology part! I really liked this chapter because it was just a review of everything I've really discussed in my previous psych classes. So, I enjoyed being able to apply that knowledge to this class, and see a different application for cognitive psych than what has been discussed in my other classes

    1. Me too! I honestly didn't think Psychology would relate that directly, but it did!

  3. I also find it interesting because I have always been interested in psychology and love to figure out how people think... I did see something on the Internet the other day that was talking about if a person is born deaf, what language do they think in? This was interesting to me to think about because if someone is born deaf I would think that they would just think in images and emotions... I thought that was an interesting thing to think about!

    1. That's a very neat inquiry! I've often wondered the same thing. I'd say it depends on the type Sign Language they know. Since the Deaf community is very visual, I'm thinking they would also rely on mental pictures, a lot, too.

  4. I also agree with you Amanda, I love psychology and learning about different aspects of things that can affect your thinking and brain. I've always had a thing for psychology since I took beginning psychology freshman year, it's always so fascinating!

  5. I also find Psychology very interesting so this chapter was fun for me to read. I was really interested in the theory of mind and how it develops. I am also very interested in the types of intelligence tests used and how they are changed for DHH children. I would be eager to watch one be administered if I had the opportunity.

  6. I think it's really interesting that there is still research going on and many psychologists, doctors, etc. still question whether or not deaf people are less than hearing people in any way. I don't understand why this one group of people have to continuously prove themselves to a world that they live in every day, that they are, indeed, as intelligent as any hearing person out there.
